Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Gunja Consulting, Inc., a company based in the United States ("we", "us"). They cover the RelayNest app and the website at relaynest.app (together, the "service"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
The short version
- RelayNest helps families organize care. It never gives medical advice.
- The information you enter is yours. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
- Only people you invite can see a care workspace.
- AI features are off until you turn them on, and their output is a draft for you to check.
- The service is free, provided as-is, and you can delete your account at any time.
1. What RelayNest is, and what it is not
RelayNest is a coordination tool. It stores and organizes the information you and your care circle enter: medication lists, dose logs, appointments, tasks, discharge instructions, warning signs, notes, and vitals.
RelayNest is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose conditions, recommend treatment, verify that the information entered is correct, or monitor anyone. Nothing in the service is medical advice, and it is not a substitute for a clinician. It does not transmit emergencies to anyone, and nobody monitors it on your behalf.
2. Who may use it
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. You may use the service only for lawful purposes and only as these terms allow.
3. Your account
- Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep it current.
- Keep your password and any two-factor codes private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Turning on two-factor authentication is strongly recommended, because care information is sensitive.
- Tell us promptly at support@relaynest.app if you think someone else has access to your account.
4. Care workspaces and the people you invite
A care workspace holds information about a person receiving care. You decide who to invite and what access they get: owner, editor, viewer, or healthcare provider. Anyone you invite can see the information in that workspace according to their role, and owners can remove people at any time.
If you enter information about another person, you confirm that you have the authority or that person's permission to do so, and to share it with the people you invite. This matters: a medication list is sensitive health information, and you are the one deciding who sees it.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not upload information about someone you have no authority or permission to share.
- Do not use the service to harass anyone, or to break any law.
- Do not attempt to access another person's account or workspace, probe or disrupt the service, or work around its security.
- Do not copy, scrape, resell, or reverse engineer the service, except where the law says you may.
- Do not use the service to provide clinical care to patients as a healthcare business without a separate written agreement with us.
6. AI features
Scanning documents, AI tools, and care-plan translation are optional. They stay off until you allow them, and the app explains what is shared before anything is sent. When you use them, the relevant text or document is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to produce a result.
AI output is a draft. It can be wrong, incomplete, or misread handwriting. Nothing is saved to a workspace until you review and approve it, and you should confirm anything that matters with the care team. Data from Apple Health is never sent to an AI provider.
7. Apple Health
If you connect Apple Health, RelayNest reads the measurements you allow, to show them in your workspace. It never writes to Apple Health, never uses that data for advertising, and never sends it to an AI provider. You can disconnect at any time in iOS Settings.
8. Your information
What you enter remains yours. You give us permission to store, process, and display it for the purpose of running the service for you and the people you invite — nothing more. We do not sell it and we do not use it for advertising. Our privacy policy explains what we collect, who processes it, and how long it is kept.
9. The service is free, and may change
RelayNest is currently free for families. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may introduce paid plans in future — if we do, we will tell you before anything you already use starts costing money. We may also suspend the service for maintenance.
10. Ending your use
You can delete your account at any time from More → Delete account. Deleting removes your account and any workspace where you are the only owner, including its documents; workspaces you share with another owner remain available to them. The privacy policy explains how long backups persist.
We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, is used unlawfully, or puts other people's information at risk.
11. Other companies we rely on
The service runs on infrastructure and tools from other companies, including Google Firebase (hosting, database, authentication), Anthropic (AI features, only with your permission), Resend (email), AWS (text messages), and Sentry (crash reports). Signing in with Apple or Google is subject to their terms as well. The privacy policy lists what each one receives.
12. HIPAA
RelayNest is offered directly to families, and using it as an individual does not make us your HIPAA business associate. If you are a healthcare organization and need a business associate agreement, contact us before putting patient information into the service.
13. No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reminders and notifications will always be delivered on time. Do not rely on the service as the only safeguard for anything that matters medically.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100), which reflects that the service is provided free of charge.
Some states do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, so parts of sections 13 and 14 may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Illinois, except that either of us may seek relief in small-claims court.
16. Apps downloaded from the Apple App Store
If you obtained the RelayNest app from the Apple App Store, the following applies:
- This agreement is between you and us only, not with Apple, and we are solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (which for RelayNest is zero). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability claims, any claim that the app fails to conform to a legal requirement, and claims under consumer protection or similar law.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and defending any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights.
- You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and update the effective date, and for material changes we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
